Jillian Ericson-Pelton

Owner & Lead Designer

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she focused on headwear design, Jillian followed her passion for millinery and costuming into the world of festival fashion. Working at Renaissance festivals across the Midwest, she discovered her true calling: crafting fantastical crowns and accessories that help Faire-goers create lasting, magical memories.

Kyle Pelton

Co-owner/Associate Designer

Kyle is the other half of Jillian—both in life and in business. He has supported her through the creation and growth of Plum & Lotus, contributing more than moral support: his creativity has helped shape product concepts and booth design. Kyle also manages customer relations, ensuring everyone has a fun, safe experience at festivals. He especially loves the four-legged patrons, pampering them with dog biscuits and keeping the Sloblet (dog goblet) filled with fresh, clean water.

What We Do

Plum & Lotus is committed to both economic and environmental responsibility. Our team seeks production methods and materials that minimize ecological impact, prioritizing eco-friendly, repurposed, recycled, and reused products whenever possible. To remain economically responsible and support local industry, we source materials from U.S.-based and small-business suppliers whenever feasible. Create core memories with products that last. Choose pieces designed for everyday life and special moments alike—durable, thoughtfully made items that age with you and carry the stories of celebrations, and shared traditions. Invest in quality, and let these lasting objects become the touchstones of a life well-lived—simple anchors for the moments you’ll remember forever.
